As we continue the DIY construction of the home-base drive around for our Airstream, our current project is leveling the back yard so that a shelter can be installed. There is a gradual slope in the drive that will have to be leveled The moving of earth will be done with pick, hoe, and shovels Laid an initial line of pavers which I later had to reposition Two dump truck loads - coarse gravel on left, finer gravel on right in photo above Decided we need to dig a french drain to run under the shelter platform Drainage ditch Perforated pipe Gravel covering drainage pipe Lots of digging in the highest area Lots of wheel barrow loads of dirt and gravel on this lowest corner Making progress Almost ready for the shelter
