We Made It To Michigan

Drove over 700 miles (see 1st odometer photo) on Saturday from Georgia to Dundee, Michigan. Spent the night in a Cabella's lot for RVs, then spent a lot of money the next morning in the store. Walked to the Great Lakes Eatery and Pub for lunch before driving a little over 200 miles (2nd odometer photo) to Grayling, MI for a few hours of rest.

El Malpais National Monument - Joe Skeen Campground

Great dry camping site in western New Mexico. After World War II, the Bureau of Land Management became the administrator of the area. In 1987, President Ronald Reagan designated El Maloais a unit of the National Park Service. It is jointly managed with the nearby El Morro National Monument.

Wichita Falls - Texas

We enjoyed a brief stay at the city campground in Wichita Falls, Texas. Site #20. Electrical hookups, water, and a dump station are available for a reasonable price. We walked to Jason's Deli for dinner. The river that runs next to the park was extremely high. Check out THIS LINK FOR VIDEO Sentimental note; we pedaled through Wichita Falls back in 1985 on our cross country bicycle trip to San Diego, CA, from Tybee Island, GA. Pretty much had the park to ourselves

Upper Peninsula

Made reservations to camp at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Michigan's Upper Peninsula for 2 weeks beginning March 16. We plan to travel west from Michigan, staying as close to the U.S. / Canadian border as weather will allow. If possible, we will cross the border a time or two along the way. Of course, It all depends on the weather.
