Our New Home

We bought an Airstream! We actually picked it up back in November, 2017, and have traveled to California and back already. Since then, we have decided that our business will revolve around where we travel. Obviously, we are downsizing quite a bit, so if it won't fit in the Airstream, or our truck, we will do without. My Baby Lock Alliance embroidery machine will ride in the truck with me, Diane, and our two cats. Everything else will ride in the Airstream. This page will become a mix of business and leisure. Feel free to check back every now and then for updates as our "Thread Sketched" business journey evolves.

El Malpais National Monument - Joe Skeen Campground

Great dry camping site in western New Mexico. After World War II, the Bureau of Land Management became the administrator of the area. In 1987, President Ronald Reagan designated El Maloais a unit of the National Park Service. It is jointly managed with the nearby El Morro National Monument.

Wichita Falls - Texas

We enjoyed a brief stay at the city campground in Wichita Falls, Texas. Site #20. Electrical hookups, water, and a dump station are available for a reasonable price. We walked to Jason's Deli for dinner. The river that runs next to the park was extremely high. Check out THIS LINK FOR VIDEO Sentimental note; we pedaled through Wichita Falls back in 1985 on our cross country bicycle trip to San Diego, CA, from Tybee Island, GA. Pretty much had the park to ourselves

Upper Peninsula

Made reservations to camp at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Michigan's Upper Peninsula for 2 weeks beginning March 16. We plan to travel west from Michigan, staying as close to the U.S. / Canadian border as weather will allow. If possible, we will cross the border a time or two along the way. Of course, It all depends on the weather.
